From its 1923 origins in the Black community to today’s co-optation for various political agendas, the definition of the word has evolved and come to mean different things to different people.

Grand Canyon Education, Inc. (NASDAQ:LOPE) Shares Sold by Pacer Advisors Inc.

Pacer Advisors Inc. lowered its stake in shares of Grand Canyon Education, Inc. (NASDAQ:LOPE – Get Rating) by 25.4% during the third quarter, HoldingsChannel.com reports. The institutional investors owned 78,077 shares of the company’s stock after selling 26,651 shares during the quarter. Pacer Advisors Inc.’s holdings in Grand Canyon Education were worth $6,422,000 at the end of the most recent quarter.

Several other large investors also recently added to or reduced their stakes in LOPE. Northwestern Mutual Wealth Management Co. purchased a new position in shares of Grand Canyon Education during the 1st quarter worth $43,000. EverSource Wealth Advisors LLC

Dayton high schools say athlete study table experiment helping

But some high schools said they were still looking for other teachers and counselors to help oversee the study tables.

Pointz Career Technology Center principal Heather Davis said the school was struggling to find a qualified math teacher to help with study tables, as most of their math teachers were currently long-term substitutes and many of their students were struggling with math.

“There’s just not enough qualified math teachers to come in,” Davis said.

Recruiting teachers, especially math and science teachers, has become increasingly difficult for many school districts.
